The Cathedral Series: Come and Sing Handel's Messiah

Following the success of last years Come and Sing Messiah, we are delighted to invite to sing or listen to Handels famous oratorio, Messiah this year.

Messiah tells of the prophecy, birth, death, and resurrection of the Messiah and includes such familiar items as the Hallelujah Chorus and I know that my redeemer liveth.Singers are invited to join our rehearsal and then to sing the evening performance.

Tickets are also available for audience members to come and listen to the concert.

The conductor will, again, be Richard Gooding, and the concert will be accompanied on the organ by the Cathedrals Director of Music, Steven Maxson.

As well as items for the Choir, we will be joined by soloists who will include some of the familiar solo items from Messiah.Whether you sing regularly or havent picked up a score in years, youre welcome.

Spend the afternoon rehearsing, then take to the stage that evening for a live performance.

No auditions.

No pressure.

Just a great sound and a shared experience.
