Phil Robson-Jed Levy Quartet

Guitarist Phil Robson and saxophonist Jed Levy bring huge experience to their group with bassist Mark Hodgson and drummer Roberto Gatto.Derby-born Robson has worked extensively with singer Christine Tobin and the long-established band Partisans and is one of a select band of musicians who have worked with both drum hero Billy Hart and Barbra Streisand.Levy has been a prominent force on the New York scene for some forty years, working with piano masters Jaki Byard and Cedar Walton, trumpeter Eddie Henderson and organist Jack McDuff, among many others.Phil and Jed met when Phil was living in New York in the mid 2010s and their imminent album, The Unpredictability of the Sea is the culmination of many New York gigs and much international touring.Their performances combine personality, strong melodies and keenly honed improvising into a highly musical experience.
