Fiona is successful, Fiona is great, Fiona has everything under control, Fiona's childhood was completely fine thanks for asking.A Brief History of Neurodivergence is a rollercoaster of comedy, colour and chaos which aims to endear, enlighten, confuse, comfort and amuse its audience.Blending theatre, storytelling and improvisation, Fiona will attempt to stay still long enough to offer us a glimpse into the neurodivergent experience, as we play, draw, guess, vote, and rewrite some of the more useless NHS mental health guidance. The shows creation speaks in direct response to negative media coverage about the recent rises in neurodivergence diagnoses.

It also addresses the massive gaps in general knowledge regarding neurodivergence, and society's leaning to favour and accommodate some types of neurodivergence over others.Fiona seamlessly blends the scientific, the historical, the political and the very, very personal.

Drawing on 20 years of experience as a mental health patient (mostly being treated for the wrong condition), and covering everything from Hitler to dogs, it offers an accessible and sobering précis of why we still need to be having conversations about neurodivergence, disability and mental illness.
