Join us for a beautiful evening of Indian classical music at The Fold, Bransford, from 7:00 pm 9:00 pm, celebrating the rich traditions of Hindustani music, devotion, and cultural exchange.
Internationally acclaimed vocalist Awantika Dubey will present a selection of Hindustani classical ragas alongside uplifting kirtan and devotional songs. Known for her work as a musician, dancer, and teacher, Awantika brings authenticity, depth, and heartfelt expression to every performance.
She will be joined by the outstanding Akash Dubey, an accomplished tabla artist from India whose mastery of rhythm adds both power and subtlety to the musical experience.
The evening also features William Tooby, whose deep love for Indian music has shaped a lifelong journey into its melodies and meditative essence. Through the resonant voice of the sitar, he creates a bridge between cultures, traditions, and hearts.
Adding another magical dimension to the performance is Morgan Davies on sarangi. Often described as the instrument closest to the human voice, the sarangi carries an extraordinary emotional depth. The dialogue between voice and sarangi weaves a tapestry of melody and feeling, creating moments of rare beauty and intimacy. Alongside them, David Balen, whose life has been devoted to music, brings his rich musical sensitivity to the ensemble.
Together, these artists create an immersive journey through raga, rhythm, devotion, and improvisation, inviting audiences into the timeless world of Indian classical music.
