Meet & Mingle - New School Stay & Play

The Meet and Mingle New School Stay & Play session is a welcoming event for parents, carers, and grandparents of children who will be starting Primary School in September 2026, particularly those attending schools in Waterfoot, Water, Stacksteads, Bacup, Whitworth, or Weir.This relaxed stay-and-play session offers a great opportunity for families to meet other parents and children, make new connections, and help children feel more confident and prepared for starting school.

Through play-based activities, children can begin building familiarity with group settings, routines, and social interaction in a fun and supportive environment.Alongside play, families will be able to chat with Family Hub staff, learn more about what support and services are available locally, and access school readiness information to help make the transition to primary school as smooth as possible.The session will take place on Thursday 16th July, 9:30-11:30am, at Maden Family Hub, Rochdale Road, Bacup, OL13 8NZ.
