Future Musicians - Orchestral Instrument Programme - Years 4-7 - Summer Term

FUTURE MUSICIANS - April 2025 to Jul 2026 Kingsbridge Music Centre - Music Department - Kingsbridge Community College, Kingsbridge, TQ7 1PL Wednesday 4-6pm
Spring Term - 11 weeks -22/4, 29/4, 6/5, 13/5, 20/5 (Half Term) 3/6, 10/6, 17/6, 24/6, 1/7, 8/7(Performance Week)
This is an opportunity for students in years 4, 5 , 6 and 7 to learn either Violin, Viola, Flute or Clarinet in a group as a complete beginner. There are 11 sessions this term which take place in the Music Department at Kingsbridge Community College. In addition to a 30-minute group lesson, students will also take part in a 30-minute Musicianship class, alongside those learning other instruments, during which they will learn basic music theory eg. pitch, notation, dynamics. This is followed by an opportunity to learn ensemble skills by playing together in our Junior Orchestra and sectional rehearsals. This programme costs just 77 for the term (plus a booking fee). There is a discounted rate for those eligible for Pupil Premium (Free School Meals). An instrument will be provided free of charge to use at Music Centre.
