Featuring award-winning vocalist Val Wiseman and six outstanding jazz musicians, this critically acclaimed show traces Billies music through the 1930s, 40s and 50s from intimate early recordings to iconic later works.Val Wisemans remarkable career began in the midlands and owes much to early influences in music and drama and the opportunity of working with some of Britains legendary bands. Alex Welsh, Humphrey Lyttelton, Monty Sunshine and Kenny Baker were quick to notice her potential and featured her on their tours and broadcasts.An evocative evening of live jazz, rich storytelling and unforgettable songs, presented by Lichfield Arts.
