Up A Close - Joanna's Story

Following multiple SELL-OUT runs in 2023, 2024, and 2025, and two SELL-OUT performances at Glasgow's iconic Pavillion Theatre, 'Up a Close' is coming to the CentreStage Theatre in Kilmarnock.The story of Joanna recounting her life in a Glasgow tenement flat when her husband doesn't come home one night. As she reminisces about her tough marriage, her children and growing up in the 70s, the audience is taken on a journey through family, friendship, and the ups and downs of working-class Glasgow life. From childhood mischief with her best friend Anne-Marie to schooldays under the watchful eye of the Nuns and dancing up the toon to the Bay City Rollers, Joanna's story is filled with laughter, poignancy, and pure Glasgow banter.Date: Wednesday 7th October 2026
