The Simon Spillett Big Band

In the November 2022 EFG London Jazz Festival, JBGB Events brought together The Simon Spillett Big Band, in an exclusive London performance, to celebrate a colossal musical genius of yesteryear, the late, great saxophonist Tubby Hayes, arguably the nation's best-loved jazz legend.

The concert was a sensational sold-out success, with the audience enthusiastically in awe, not only of the remarkable and innovative musicianship of Simon and his energetically talented band of British jazz greats, but also discovering the musical genius of the late Tubby Hayes' superb jazz writing.

There was no hesitation for JBGB Events to extend the return invitation for a second London concert in June 2023; a further sold-out concert and hence this has led to our double Spring and Autumn 2024 booking.
