Murder Mystery Event at the Empress

Back by popular demand is our Victorian murder mystery whodunnit, based on a real murder in Harrogate, A Pot Luck Supper Murder!Join us for an evening of mystery, suspense and plenty of laughs as we bring this real-life inspired story to life.You can step into the shoes of one of the characters connected to the story, or simply join in as a detective and help work out what really happened.The setting is Oakdale Manor, Harrogate, where a seemingly ordinary potluck supper takes a deadly turn.

Four gunshots are heard and Jacques Goyeau is found murdered.Superintendent Morley is called to the scene and gathers everyone together.

As the evening unfolds, clues will be revealed and suspicions will start to grow.

You'll need to listen carefully, question what you hear and decide who you can trust.

By the end of the evening, it will be down to your group to work out who killed Jacques Goyeau.We'll be in the upstairs room at The Empress on the Stray.

Grab yourself a drink at the bar before you head upstairs to join us.

The Empress also serves food, so if you fancy something to eat, you can grab some food and a drink while we investigate the murder.Please note: We have previously performed this particular Murder Mystery at Starlings and The Joiners Arms, so if you came along to either of those evenings, this is the same mystery.
