Painting and Drawing at The Hearth

Learn to paint, draw and enjoy creating your own artwork with an introduction to different materials, techniques and methods. We will explore new themes (including landscape, still-life, portraiture) and materials (including watercolour, acrylics, charcoal and coloured pencil) on a rolling 2 week basis, providing 'tasters' and tools to get you drawing and painting. We will look at observation techniques, capturing perspective, creating depth and contrast, using colour wash and mark making. Drop-in 20Art materials: If you are a beginner and want to try before you buy or are just unsure what to bring I will provide some basic materials to enable you to get started on both drawing and painting. If you have your own, please bring your materials along. Do contact me (nikihblack@gmail.com) for advice on materials and where to buy them.
