Edinburgh Open Workshop has expanded its programme of sewing and textiles courses, offering more opportunities to learn practical skills, explore new techniques and get creative in its Leith makerspace.New courses include Machine Knitting Introduction, Pojagi Style Stained Glass Curtain, Laser Cut & Sew Taster and Scrap-Busting Soft Toys, alongside Sewing Techniques and Garment Techniques workshops covering essential sewing skills and clothing construction.Designed for beginners and more experienced makers alike, the programme brings together traditional craft techniques and digital technologies, with hands-on tuition from experienced professional makers.Whether you want to learn to sew, experiment with machine knitting, develop your garment-making skills or discover a completely new way of working with textiles, there are courses to suit a range of interests and experience levels.The expanded textiles programme runs from late August to December at Edinburgh Open Workshop, with individual course dates and prices varying.Advance booking required.
