Paula Vogel, Pulitzer and Obie Award Winning playwright, has written the play with three great female characters, who are not on the sidelines, but centre stage. It explores a very different Desdemona to the victim and wrongly accused wife in Shakespeares Othello. Instead, she is presented as a woman trying all that life offers, in the broadest sense! She is unrestricted and delighted in the life she is making for herself. The play is, in true Shakespearean style, bawdy, and yet, there is a poignancy that emerges through the play. Where will all of this end?
