Alasdair RobertsAcclaimed Scottish folk singer, guitarist and songwriter Alasdair Roberts is undertaking a short solo tour in Scotland and England this autumn, consisting of just four intimate dates.Alasdair has dedicated much of this year’s live activities to his various collaborations (including as part of folk band The Furrow Collective and cult underground group Current 93, as well as with smallpiper Donald WG Lindsay and with Norwegian microtonal guitarist Fredrik Rasten).

This upcoming tour will be a rare chance to witness Alasdair sing and play entirely solo this year, during which period he’s played only a handful of solo concerts.While Alasdair has been focussed for a period on creating the unique interpretations of traditional songs and ballads from Scotland and beyond for which he’s rightly recognised, fans of his own idiosyncratic songwriting will be happy to know that a new album of self-written songs is in the early stages of preparation.

Much of his time off the road this year has been spent writing new material, and so this tour will also be an opportunity to hear him road-testing some previously unaired self-written songs, hot off the press.Presented by Moor Noise!.This is an 18+ event
