Arcadian Strings - Winter Concert

Join Arcadian Strings for an evening of vibrant and atmospheric music for strings, featuring Vivaldi's much-loved Four Seasons.Arcadian Strings is a 21-piece string orchestra made up of local musicians from across the Harrogate area.

Conducted byWilliam Dutton, the orchestra will be joined by violin soloist Ljuba Kalmykovafor Vivaldi's Winter and Spring from The Four Seasons from the icy drama and driving rhythms ofWinterto the warmth and energy of Spring.The programme also explores the remarkable range of sound and character that a string orchestra can create.

Bartk's lively Folk Dances sit alongside the rich, expressive writing of Frank Bridge and John Ireland, while Britten's Playful Pizzicatofrom his Simple Symphony brings wit, energy and a touch of fun.
