Small Sounds

Here at Derby Cathedral, we're taking part in a pilot music programme for early years children and their families!Families are able to attend free, term-time, weekly music sessions with their 0-5's. Run by a member of the Cathedral Music Department's highly respected team, the sessions will take families and their little ones on a journey of musical discovery. Through songs and play, the sessions will help the youngsters to find their voices and experience the joy of singing. We are grateful to Cathedral Music Trust for selecting us as one of just six cathedrals in the UK to take part in this project. The Trust has developed the programme in response to a need for more early years music-making opportunities - as recognised in recent research.
Our free sessions will run from 10:30 - 11:30am every Wednesday during term-time in the Cathedral.(From Wednesday 5 February could we kindly ask you to book your Small Sounds session in advance just so we can manage numbers, there is still no fee for the sessions)For more information please contact: rhiannon@derbycathedral.org
