Craig joinerAward-winning folk singer-songwriter Craig Joiner returns to The Parish Room, St. Paul's Church, Chipperfield to exclusively perform and preview new songs from his eagerly awaited third solo album.Due out in March, 2027, the album aims to build on the success of its predecessor, 'A Kind Of Calm'.
Released by Molano Music in 2024, the album was announced by 'The Wedding Day Of Eliza May', a romantic lament of 'it should have been me...' and winner of the 'Track/Song Of The Year, 2024' in the annual Fatea Awards. The song was supported by a national and regional TV and radio promotional campaign and enjoyed airplay on BBC Radio 2, Radio Caroline, 30 regional radio stations in the UK and others overseas, from the USA to Ireland.Craig's most recent single, 'Lark & Grey' - a celebration of the gentle art of fly fishing - was also backed by a full promo push, a highlight of which saw Chorleywood resident Craig interviewed and performing the song live on the BBC1 programme 'Sunday Morning Live'.Mike Brocken, of Folkscene - the longest running specialist music programme in British broadcasting history - included 'A Kind Of Calm' as one of the show's Top Ten 'Album Of The Year, 2024' choices.Meanwhile, Craig has been delighting audiences in the UK and Germany with joyful and immersive live performances that invite and encourage their participation.Although Watford-born Craig has forged a career and won repute in the rock arena, folk music has always been his true muse and calling. "As a 15-year-old, I played my first gig, guitar in hands, at the Cellar Folk Club in Hemel Hempstead," he recalls. "Life and opportunities then led me elsewhere, but here I am again, having travelled full circle. It feels like home and it's so wonderful to be here."Www.Craigjoinermusic.ComWith Support by Minnie BirchMinnie Birch is a folk pop artist from Hertfordshire UK. She was BBC Radio 1s introducing artist of the week, Buzzfeed's "one to watch" and received awards and critical acclaim in national press for her original compositions on life, love, loss and fairytale. She released a Sunday Times Top 100 record of the year with a unique album based on songs heard on the football terraces. Minnie has toured extensively across the UK, Europe and across Nashville USA. An intriguing and unusual artist, Minnie was forced to take a career break when she was diagnosed with a rare cancer, a diagnosis which turned her world on its head and also effected the mobility in her right arm. Minnie struggled through extensive physio to get back to playing her piano and guitar. Her new songs are a testament to the hope and the love you can find in your darkest hours. She is looking forward to sharing them with you. Prepare to have your heart put in a soft spin, wrung out, hung out to dry and handed back to you ready to wear to the party again.Www.Minniebirch.Co.UK
