Author Event With Tariq Ashkanani

Come along to Duloch Library for an exciting evening with award-winning Scottish crime author, Tariq Ashkanani. Tariq’s first book, Welcome to Cooper, was published in 2021 and won the Blood Scotland Debut Award.
His latest novel The Midnight King, was awarded the McIlvanney Award for the Scottish Crime Book of 2025. The book is a thriller about the son of a serial killer returning home for his father's funeral. The celebrated author leaves behind a manuscript which forms a fictionalised confession and a box filled with mementos from each of the children he as killed, including one from a girl who went missing days before his death. This is a story about family, trauma and the secrets we keep within.
Tariq will be joining us at Duloch Library on Thursday 23rd April at 7pm.
