PCS Leith Music Night for Palestine

Join local pcs trade union Leith Branch for a fundraising night for Medical Aid for Palestine with live music, poetry, speakers from PCS, other trade unions, and the Scottish Palestinian Solidarity Campaign - and of course, a fabulous raffle! Featuring The Nada Shawa Band, Elsie MacDonald, and Queen of Harps, Everyone 18+ welcome.

Full access.Queen of Harps is the stage name of Anise Pearson, a Scots-Malaysian rapper and harpist known for her unique genre of hip-hop-harp.

She blends sampled harps and beats with a conscious hip-hop flow, and was nominated for Best Hip-Hop Artist at the sama in 2023, and was a shortlisted artist for the bbc Introducing Scottish Act of the Year 2023..

Her debut single, "Situation," released in February 2022, showcases her diverse musical influences.ELsie MacDonald hails fae bonnie Dundee and is an emerging alt-folk singer-songwriter calling Edinburgh home.

Elsie is well known in the Edinburgh scene and beyond for their emotionally impactful performance style, creating intimacy with audiences in shared spaces, and is a regular performer at the Edinburgh May Day rally.The Nada Shawa Band features this Palestinan poet, writer, and dancer living in Edinburgh who blends her experiences between Gaza and Scotland through literature, performance, and activism.Nada's latest book Indigenous Soul (2025) blends memoir and poetry, which will tonight be accompanied by a soundscape by bassist Fiona Watt (Suffrajitsu) and drummer Nikki Fox (Fistymuffs).
