When novelist Charles Condomine arranges a seance to provide background for his new novel, the eccentric medium Madame Arcati unwittingly sets in train a series of events which disrupt his life with his second wife Ruth. Their attempts to cope with the ensuing mayhem become increasingly desperate, and hilarious.
Blithe Spirit has been delighting audiences since its first production in Manchester 85 years ago. It ran with almost 2000 performances in the West End, closing in 1946, and had 657 performances on Broadway. It has had many revivals since then: we look forward to welcoming you to the latest one!
