Children's Art Club

Are you aged 5 11? Do you like to make things?
(Or do you know someone who is and does?!)Our plans are for a free programme of creative play and learning a time to explore art-making build and foster curiosity, care, and consideration and hopefully an ever more creative relationship with the world around us.This month we will be thinking about how we understand and explore buildings and the different rooms and connecting spaces in them, and especially how children understand and find their way around Central Library.This time our workshop will last 2 hours, beginning as usual at 10.30am and running a little longer, until 12.30pm.In the first hour, we will go on an eye-spy tour around the whole library, including some behind the scenes areas. In the second hour, inspired by the tour and lots of photos of rooms and details all around Central Library and lots of materials, we will make our own pictures of one (or more) of the Central Library spaces.We would like to keep your art works for a short time after the workshop so that the Art Club team can take photos of them. These photos will be used to make a booklet to help children explore Central Library. More details about this later. Art works will be kept safely and can be collected during the following week.Please bring your imagination and observation skills!Under 8s must be accompanied; families very welcome (no need for parents or guardians to get a ticket.)
