InfoDurham Pride takes place on Sunday the 30th May 2027.Durham Pride UK was founded back in 2014 when our Chair, Mel Metcalf began asking people why our beautiful and diverse County wasn’t celebrating our amazing LGBT+ community? We were told we couldn’t do it by some, that it would only be another student event by others and that there wouldn’t be any interest in many. Less than 6 months later our first Pride happened on a lovely sunny Thursday evening with an estimated audience of 1500 and a magnificent mix of people. In 2023, we welcomed an amazing 20,000 people to our new county wide celebrations as we continue to grow LGBT+ visibility in County Durham. We celebrate another year and move to a huge one-day event.Theme
