Inked Up - expressive drawing with reed pens and bamboo

During this one day workshop you will experiment with a range of expressive mark-making techniques before undertaking a finished ink drawing.
During this one day workshop you will experiment with a range of expressive mark-making techniques before undertaking a finished ink drawing. Williamwill show you how to make your own reed and bamboo pens as well as employing found tools and Rorschach techniques to make a range abstract and representational imagery.
Participants are advised to bring brushes and can landscape or seascape photographs for potential inspiration.Williamwill also provide photographs. All other materials will be supplied.
William Spurway is a professional artist whose interests centre on sea and landscape painting, drawing and printmaking. He is also an engaging and experienced teacher having taught these subjects for over 20 years.
Workshop starts 9.45 am and finishes by 4.00 pm.
Tea and coffee are supplied and lunch is available to buy from the cafe on Saturday.
