Looking for a fun, hands-on activity that helps children connect with nature?Join us for our FREE Childrens Conservation Programme a creative and inspiring session designed to help young people discover how they can support wildlife right from their own garden, patio or balcony. And if they dont have outdoor space? Well show them how nearby parks and open spaces can become their wildlife haven too.During this interactive 3040 minute session, children will learn how to:
Build bird boxes for garden birds and owls.
Create bug hotels
Make pollinator lagoons and beetle buckets
Construct hedgehog housesWell demonstrate how all of these can be made using recycled or scrap materials and explain exactly where to find what they need.
Children will also discover which flowers and shrubs to plant to encourage birds, bees and other wonderful wildlife. There will be real garden bird boxes, owl boxes and hedgehog houses on display so children can see sizes, materials and designs up close.
