Introduction to Solar Plate Etching

Toyobo Solar Plates allow drawings, photos, text and other images to be transferred onto an etching plate then printed using intaglio techniques on our etching press. This 1.5 day workshop will go step by step through image preparation, plate making and intaglio printing of your own etching. Participants should bring an image they would like to use during the workshop. All other materials will be supplied.
Workshop tutor Pamela Grace. Pam is a Dumfries and Galloway based artist - printmaker whose work features delicate and intricately drawn landscapes and plant forms. She uses her drawing and painting techniques in intaglio printmaking and lithography. She is an experienced workshop leader teaching long established art classes.
Workshop starts 9.45 am and finishes by 4.00 pm on Saturday. 10am -1pm Sunday.
Tea and coffee are supplied and lunch is available to buy from the cafe on Saturday.
