Come and Sing: with Peter Gritton

Come and Sing with Peter GrittonWe are delighted to welcome Peter Gritton to Winchester to lead our annual Come and Sing workshop. Come and enjoy a fun and engaging day of singing with like-minded people. The repertoire will include well-known, approachable music specially selected for the Come & Sing day by well-known composer, arranger and workshop leader Peter Gritton, chosen from his OUP publication Encores for Choir Book 1.
Peter gained an Academic Exhibition to read Music at Clare College, Cambridge, where he also sang in the chapel choir as a Choral Scholar. He ran the University Music Club in his final year, after which he became a countertenor Lay Clerk at Christ Church, Oxford. Based in London since 1987, he quickly found himself singing in a number of vocal ensembles, including The Sixteen, Cambridge Singers, I Fagiolini, as well as close harmony group The Light Blues with whom he toured worldwide.Timetable

Parking
There is a small carpark adjacent to the church, the nearest public carpark is the Station Carpark (entrance on Stockbridge Road) a couple of minutes walk away or Tower Street Carpark about 5 minutes walk away.
Refreshments
Tea and coffee will be served in the breaks, with home made cakes in the afternoon break. You are welcome to bring a picnic lunch and there are cafs, 5 minutes walk away.
