Multi Block Lino Cut Printmaking

Master Printmaker and illustrator Claire Melinsky will lead this two day introduction to multi block lino cut printmaking.
The workshop will cover preparation of lino blocks, transferring your image and colour separation prior to cutting the images. We will prepare a block for each colour. We will then cut our image using lino tools and learn about registration and printing using our Columbian printing press in the print studio. We will also cover printing without a press which you can then do at home. At the end of the workshop particpants should have a small edition of prints in 2 or 3 colours.
Claire has a distinguished career as an illustrator using linocut. her work can be seen on books, packaging, advertising, newspapers and magazines.
