To celebrate this year’s Kendal Pride and stand in solidarity with the local LGBTQIA+ community, Kendal Mountain Festival is proudly supporting an evening of Queer-led films. These inspirational adventure films will take you around the world with tales of endurance and bravery, transcending fear and redefining inclusivity. Parade
11:45-12:30 Join us for Kendal Pride’s first-ever procession. Things will kick off at the Birdcage with a special performance by students from Kendal College, our new community choir, Ragtag Arts’ carnival troupe and Drum Nation at 11.45. The procession will then be make its way down Finkle Street, turning onto Kent Street, crossing the pedestrian crossing and heading down the riverbank to the Pride Village at Abbot Hall, arriving at approximately 12:30.Festival
Stalls, activities and entertainment from 12:00-18:00. Join us around Abbot Hall for our Kendal Pride Village. Visit stalls, meet up with like-minded people, or enjoy a drink or some food. Don’t forget to get your toes tapping with entertainment on the stage from 12:00. Hosted by RuPaul Drag Race UK’s Viola. Free activities will include a climbing wall, family crafts with Ragtag Arts, crafts with Queer By Gum, the Proud Pooches Dog Show and much more besides.After party
19:00-03:00, join Kendal Pride on Saturday 13 June at Bowness Bay Brewery for The Big Pride Party and an evening of high camp, fabulous entertainment from queens, kings and things, plus all your favourite queer classics to keep you dancing the night away. For 2026 we’re once again taking over The Venue, courtyard and Barrel House, with a night not to be missed.
