An evening of new music for the piano written and performed by Scottish pianists, Nick Lauener and Ben Eames.Nick Lauener:After spending 2024 & 2025 travelling around the continent of South America, I returned home inspired by the music I discovered along the way. Recuerdos de Viaje is a suite I've written for piano duet, based on those musical experiences. You'll hear influences from across the continent, including the Chilean Waltz, Argentinian Tango, Carnival de Bolivia and Colombian Salsa, among others!Ben Eames:In summer 2025, I began sifting through the hundreds of voice-note recordings I had created over the past several years. Each voice-note is a
record of a stolen moment at the piano, improvising during those in-between points of the day - perhaps waiting for dinner to finish cooking in the oven or a piano student to arrive for a lesson. It occurred to me as I listened to voice-note after voice-note that I should
probably make something of these ideas. So, on a summer's evening, I clicked on a voice-note recorded on a Friday at 8.26pm and started
