Ludwig With Mike Hatchard

Meet Beethoven in person and hear him play some of his wonderful piano pieces.

Ludwig: unfinished business directed and co-written by Olivier Award winning director Guy Masterson.Concert pianist and actor, Mike Hatchard, played Beethoven throughout August in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to rave reviews.

We meet a reincarnation of Beethoven and his sometimes bizarre thinking as he reminisces, fumes, jokes, explains and complains about life, Mozart, Bach, music of the future and being known just for the opening of his Fifth Symphony.

And he plays brilliantly some of his admired piano pieces. The show combines music, storytelling and comedy to create an affectionate and entertaining portrait of a remarkable musician as he looks back on a life shaped by music and ambition.
