The Bookmonger Presents: Damian Barr in Conversation with Nicola Meighan at 1599 at the Royal College

The Bookmonger presents Damian Barr, award-winning writer, broadcaster and journalist, in conversation with arts broadcaster Nicola Meighan, celebrating the paperback launch of his acclaimed novel The Two Roberts.

Shortlisted for the Nero Book Award for Fiction, it tells the story of Robert Colquhoun and Robert MacBryde: artists, lovers and outsiders, whose extraordinary talent carried them from 1930s Glasgow to wartime Soho.

The evening features an author interview and audience Q&A, recorded live for Meighan's podcast A Kick Up The Arts, followed by a book signing, plus a full bar and The Bookmonger mobile book stand, stocked with Damian's backlist, hand-picked Blind Date with a Book titles and queer literature recommendations.

This is Damian's only Glasgow appearance for the paperback launch, with 10% of profits going to TIE, Scotland's LGBT inclusive education charity.
