Set within the inspiring surroundings of the Joseph Wright Gallery at Derby Museum & Art Gallery, this exclusive fundraising event brings together music, art, history and community for an unforgettable night inspired by the legacy of Joseph Wright of Derby.Begin your evening with a glass of prosecco and enjoy a selection of Derbyshire inspired, seasonal small plates in our newly developed Nature and Archaeology Galleries and enjoy one final visit to the acclaimed Joseph Wright: From the Shadows exhibition before it closes.Guests will also have the chance to meet members of our Collections Team and discover fascinating objects connected to Wright, Derby and the Age of Enlightenment.The centrepiece of the evening is a live concert by Sinfonia Viva, performed in the Joseph Wright Gallery. Featuring a specially curated programme for a string trio, performed by Sinfonia Vivas Leader Sophie Rosa on violin, Alex Mitchell on viola, and Alex Holladay on cello. The performance will be interwoven with readings from Wright's life directly from Derby Museums' collections.The evening will also include a raffle and live auction featuring a selection of carefully curated prizes and experiences, all in support of Derby Museums' future work.Whether you are a long-time supporter, a lover of art and music, or simply looking for a memorable evening out, this is an opportunity to celebrate one of the world's greatest cultural figures while helping secure the future of Derby Museums'.Ticket includes:
