Christmas Lino Printing Workshop

Join local artist Merlyn from The Littlest Falcon to spend a creative day learning the art of single-colour linoprinting. We shall be printing festive greetings cards in this relaxed, hands-on three-hour session, perfect for beginners.What to Expect:
Bring along a simple idea for your card design, this can be any theme you choose, though Winter and Christmas are perfect choices for this time of year if you’re struggling to decide!We’ll be working on lino blocks around 4x5.5” so keep that size in mind when planning. Don’t worry about having it perfect before you arrive - there will be time to adjust, and Merlyn will be there to help with any advice.
You’ll learn various mark-making techniques and how to transfer your design onto your lino block. Once carved, you’ll be able to test print your block and make any adjustments before printing your final design.
We’ll be printing by hand burnishing - a simple method you can easily replicate at home.Materials:
