A Night at the Hot Club With "Afternoon in Paris", Dinner and Music

"Afternoon in Paris" is on a mission to entertain! Their music stems from the forties swing of the Hot Club of France, but extends to encompass a miasma of styles from Latin to Klezmer, Bebop to Pop with some fab originals thrown in. Fronted by clarinet, bass clarinet and vocals in several European languages, the result is a unique and joyful fusion of superbly delivered music. Prepare to be transported through the smoky jazz clubs of 1930s Paris and Hamburg to the grand cafes of Europe, New York, and South America. Sit back and enjoy the ride. You'll leave on a high!

Seating will be cabaret style with tables. There will be an interval during which an optional two-course dinner will be served. Food is being provided by The Lion Inn of Trellech to their usual great standard. Two menu options:
(1) 1/2 roast chicken with a chasseur sauce and rice
(2) Roasted root veg cassoulet with rice (vegetarian option).
Dessert for both options is duo of tarts - lemon meringue pie and fruits of the forest tart with cream. All food will be gluten free. All meals must be pre-booked please.

Doors open 7.15pm, start time 7.45 or 8pm to be confirmed.
Bar selling beer, wine, soft drinks, crisps and ice cream. Cash and card accepted.This event is possible thanks to assistance from the Arts Council of Wales Night Out Scheme.All profits go towards the running of the Hall.
