He went on to become a familiar face and voice on shows including Have I Got News for You, QI, Red Dwarf, Just a Minute, Im Sorry I Havent a Clue and The Unbelievable Truth.He is perhaps best known for his bestselling book Round Ireland with a Fridge, inspired by a 100 bet that he actually went and honoured.

He has since written several more books, made films and toured his comedy shows.
