Carey BostianThe Preucil School of Music is a non-profit community music school based in Iowa City, Iowa, serving around 600 students with a faculty of 37.

Founded in 1975 by Doris Preucil, the school grew from a Suzuki violin programme established in 1963 and now offers a comprehensive curriculum including strings, piano, voice, harp, flute, music theory, pedagogy, ensembles, and early childhood education.

Housed in a historic former Czechoslovakian Meeting Hall built in 1900, the school has become a cultural cornerstone in a city known for its appreciation of the arts.
