The Sibling Pair - Sister and Brother Casualties of War

Keith will tell the moving story of the Ockbrook siblings, Margaret and Edwin Hasse, who both died in World War One, and the bronze plaques (Death Pennies) presented to their grieving family after the war.

He will explain the meaning of the plaques and how Erewash Museum achieved the distinction of being the only museum in the UK to own and display a "Sibling Pair" of Death Pennies.Please note: This talk is timed to coincide with Remembrance Sunday, which is the following day.
