Erik Sigurd: Sonnet

Celebrating the release of his sophomore album, 'Sonnet', Erik Sigurd leads his ensemble performing the ambitious work live with a string quartet, tenor saxophone, harp, and double bass. Sonnet is a piece of music in 14 movements, all seamlessly connected; an intimate chamber work that weaves a love story as it unfurls.
The first half will consist of a performance by Erik Sigurd of his solo piano music, joined by Sam Becker on bass, as well as interpretations of compositions by Sigurd's key pianistic influences from the classical repertoire.Doors: 7pm1st half: 7.30pminterval2nd half: 8.30pmthe playersviolins: Eleonora Consta, Roman Lytwyniwviola: Luba Tunnicliffecello: Zachary Owensaxophone: Kaidi Akinnibiharp: Oliver Wassdouble bass: Sam Beckerpiano: Erik SigurdPresented by Erik Sigurd. All ages
