Spectra Series: Kieron Hawkes: Hawk K9

After 14 years serving as a British Army dog trainer, Kieron Hawkes deployed on operations around the world, worked alongside allied and partner forces, and trained some of the military's highest-performing working dogs.

Following a medical discharge due to depression, he faced the challenge of rebuilding his life from scratch.

That journey led to the creation of Hawk K9, a veteran-owned business built on the values the Army instilled in him.

Now living full-time in a van with his two dogs, Ursula, a blind retired military working dog turned therapy companion, and Flik, a young Belgian Malinois, he shares his experiences of service, resilience, mental health, and finding purpose beyond the military.
