The North East, and indeed Newcastle itself, is stuffed to the brim with legends of dragons, wizards, vampires (yes, really), saints, witches, and Border Reivers.
Even Queen Mab herself and King Arthur make an appearance in a story or two.

This talk will take you on a whistle-stop tour through a handful of our most rousing stories, featuring tales of derring-do, shapeshifting, prophetic visions, and mighty magical deeds!Icy Sedgwick is the host of the Fabulous Folklore podcast, investigating European folklore with a special emphasis on Newcastle and Northumberland.
In case she tires of research, former ghost hunter Icy also writes Gothic horror fiction.
