Join Castle Voices choir for The Swanage BIG SING, a unique concert where YOU become part of the choir. With lyrics projected on a large screen and a hall full of voices singing together, this is your chance to experience the thrill of performing - no experience required.Castle Voices is a vibrant community rock choir bringing together people of all ages and abilities from across the Isle of Purbeck who share a love of singing. Founded in Corfe Castle in 2013 and named after the iconic Purbeck landmark, the choir has grown from a small local group into a thriving musical community that rehearses weekly at The Mowlem and performs an eclectic mix of rock and pop favourites. For this special event, Castle Voices will be joined by special guests Kelp! Shanty Singers and VoiceWaves Youth Choir, with the massed choir backed by The Purbeck Youth Tradfolk Collective and a live local band. Together with the audience, theyll raise the roof with a feel-good set of sing-along classics; from500 MilesandLean on MetoAfrica, and much more besides.
Organiser and musical director Rebecca Field-Bunney hopes the evening will create the largest choir Swanage has ever seen. The BIG SING is all about bringing people together through music. You dont need to be a singer - just come along, join in and experience the magic of many voices singing together. Its going to be a really special night.Expect a spectacular evening that celebrates community, music and the joy of singing together - a magical night of fun and unforgettable moments unlike anything The Mowlem has heard before.
