An exploration of Woodlands, ancient and modern.Kerry photographs the world around her, taking nature photographs whenever possible.
The Woodlands are of particular interest to Kerry, she finds them mysterious and magical.
The ancient woodlands where the Ferns still exist from approximately 600 million years ago are one of Kerry's favourite subjects.
She uses natural light and weather conditions to her advantage, producing atmospheric photographs.
The tiny detail is as important as the bigger picture.Liz has been exploring Woodlands both locally in Yorkshire, and more widely in Scotland and Nottinghamshire. She ventures out with her camera at different times of year capturing the varying light, textures, and colour of the everchanging seasons.Liz works with Merino wool and silk fibres which she felts together using the wet felting method to produce pictures that retain the textural qualities of the different fibres.Pathways that lead to unexpected views are one of her favourite themes.
Liz is also interested in the wildlife that inhabits these environments.Liz and Kerry have come together to combine two different mediums that reflect their shared interest the Woodland environment.
