Piano concert: Benjamin Frith and Heidi Rolfe

Tickhill Music Society welcomes back celebrated pianists Benjamin Frith and Heidi Rolfe for an evening of music for four hands at one piano.Benjamin Frith is a Gold Medal winner of the Artur Rubinstein Piano Masters International Competition and a top-prize winner at the Busoni International Piano Competition.

He has performed internationally as a soloist and is also pianist of the Gould Piano Trio.Heidi Rolfe combines her performing career with teaching at the University of Sheffield and examining for ABRSM.

Together they have performed four-hand and two-piano repertoire for many years.Their Tickhill programme ranges from Mozart and Schubert to Delius, Ireland, Chabrier and Mel Bonis, with almost all the music performed four hands at one piano.Programme: Mozart – Sonata in D K381; Grieg – In Ola Valley, in Ola Lake (Benjamin Frith, solo); Delius – On Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring; Schubert – Fantasie in F minor D940; Ireland – The Forgotten Rite; Delius – In a Summer Garden; Chabrier – Valse romantique No. 2; Mel Bonis – Six Valses-Caprice Op.87.Interval drinks available by donation.
