Jigsaw Lino Printing with Liz Jones

Jigsaw Lino printing is a great way of producing a multicoloured print using one block and one layer of ink. I will help participants to plan a suitable design and help them transfer it onto a lino block. The designs will be carved and then we will cut the block into separate jigsaw pieces to be inked and printed in different colours.Workshop notes will be shared before the workshop to enable participants to give thought to a design.All materials needed for the day will be provided but please bring an apron.Cumbrian based artist Liz Jones is a printmaker, textile designer and experienced tutor. Liz is one of the four core makers who established nest. based in Rheged and has also been an exhibitor in the annual Great Print show in Rheged's Gallery. Liz works mainly in linocut to create original block printed fabric designs, which she screen prints onto linen and cotton.10am-4pm
