Samodiva Nestya (from Bulgarian "fire-dancing sirens") is an Edinburgh-based contemporary 8-piece folk ensemble. Bringing together three-part vocal harmonies with an eclectic line-up including violin, cello, clarsach, percussion, and a multi-instrumentalist playing accordion, double bass, mandolin, and more.Specialising in the folk traditions of Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean, Samodiva Nestya creates original songs and arrangements that blend diverse musical cultures with influences from traditional, classical, pop/rock, and contemporary music. Their performances are further enriched by traditional dance.Since 2023, the ensemble has performed at iconic Edinburgh venues including Pianodrome, The Cave, and La Belle Angele, supported artists such as The Langan Band, Lizabett Russo, and Blue Giant Orchestra, and appeared at both Kelburn Garden Party and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Venue Info:Pianodrome Bruntsfield is at The St.Oswald's Center at 41 Montpelier Park, Bruntsfield, Edinburgh EH10 4NB, just parallel to the main street and next to the primary school. It has an accessible entrance and an accessible toilet. Please get in touch if there is anything else you'd like to ask or tell us prior to your visit.Concessions:
We do not check your right to a concession or name your price ticket. If you feel you can afford the full price please select this ticket. However, concessions prices are there to help anybody attend the show - if you need a lower cost ticket you are in the best position to determine that. No questions asked.Accessibility:
