Despite many collaborations over the years Xan Tylers first solo album Holding Up Half The Sky (Last Night From Glasgow) was released in 2024 and reached #4 in the Scottish Albums Chart.

Inspired by stories of female empowerment and exploring themes of sisterhood, survival and aging (some real, some imagined but all personal) the reception it received was far reaching.Soulful, beautiful, crystalline voice. - The ScotsmanPlays from 6 Music, BBC Radio Scotland, X Radio and others were followed by many exciting live bookings including her Celtic Connections debut, an appearance at back Doune The Rabbit Hole Festival, a support slot with Peter Capaldi and a tour with The Blow Monkeys among the highlights.Eloquent and spellbinding storytelling - The Ginger QuiffSince then Xan has released Home, another collaborative album this time with Amsterdam based Texan Dusty Stray.

The album reached #8 in the Scottish album Chart and tours of the UK and Netherlands followed.Xan and Dusty have the kind of vocal chemistry that can't be practiced; it's either there or it's not.

Here it is, like with Lee and Nancy, Gram and Emmylou their voices dance and flirt★★★★ De Volkskrant, The NetherlandsXan has released two albums with South Londons dub reggae legend Mad Professor (Ariwa Records) and was also one half of Let It Come Down (Shimmy Disc / Joyful Noise).Tyler is the perfect foildelivering precise roving melodies - PitchforkSince her beginnings as a teenage backing singer for South Londons risqu cult band Death Bang Party, Xan has had an eclectic musical journey.

Her big break was with Creation Records when she was signed to front electro pop duo Technique, produced by heavyweights Stephen Hague (New Order) and Owen Morris (Oasis).

After touring the world with Creation she was signed to legendary dance label Positiva where Xan paired up with German electronic titans Timo Maas and Martin Buttrich for Orinoko.
