In Keat's footsteps to St Cross 6 miles

Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the historic Itchen Navigation to St Cross, following the route that inspired Keats to write his ode "To Autumn".

With the majestic backdrop of St Catherine's Hill with its Iron Age ramparts to one side, we will walk along to the historic Hospital of St Cross, and return to the Cathedral past the ancient walls of Winchester College.The walk is substantially flat with no stiles, just a few kissing gates.

Paths are good and there should be little or no mud.

We will take a brief refreshment break, so bring a drink and a snack to enjoy.
