Gary Branch Upstairs Downstairs Concert

On Sunday 4 October, we have two very special recitals at 15:00 and 18:00.

In both recitals, Gary Branch will be playing Holst's Collard & Collard piano (on which Holst composed The Planets' Suite) in the Music Room and our 1870s Avill & Smart piano in the Drawing Room).Gary is a renowned pianist and historian specializing in period instruments and a longstanding friend of the Holst Victorian House.

He will be joined by soprano, Helen Wright.

The recitals will feature classical and popular music from the early 19th to early 20th century.

The running time is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, including an interval with refreshments provided.Gary will bring CDs for sale and has very generously agreed to share the proceeds 50:50 with HVH.
