Speed Date our Library Treasures

Join librarians from Leeds Libraries, along with colleagues from heritage organisations across Leeds, for the 10th anniversary of our popular Speed-date our library treasures event! The basic idea: each librarian gets three minutes to sell attendees on the merits of a favourite item from our local history and special collections.

After three minutes, attendees move to the next table and the process begins again.

At the end of the evening, an informal vote for the 'best' item of the night is chosen!Disclaimer - the speed date a library treasure events are all about showing off the parts of our collection that are usually kept behind locked doors.

It is not a regular speed dating event and we will not be trying to set you up with a romantic partner.Part of the Leeds Libraries' Leeds400 programmeWant to know more about Leeds Libraries Local Studies resources, articles, events, and workshops?
