Night River Presents... Dg Solaris + Hattie Whitehead

DG Solaris returns to Green Note for his fifth annual end-of-year show, a chance to share new songs and catch up with old friends and supporters, this time joined by the brilliant Hattie Whitehead.The project of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Danny Green, DG Solaris moves between intimate indie-folk, off-kilter pop and something altogether harder to pin down.

Formerly frontman of cult indie-folk band Laish, Green has released music through the years to acclaim from BBC 6 Music, Uncut, Mojo and more, and has toured extensively across the UK and Europe.This Green Note show comes ahead of a new DG Solaris album, A Childish Idea, a playful, restless collection that pushes beyond the quieter folk of previous records into something more rhythmic, colourful and alive.

Expect new songs, old favourites, stories, special guests and a few surprises along the way.Opening the evening is Hattie Whitehead.

A formidable performer in her own right, Hattie is also the voice of Hejira, the acclaimed band celebrating the music of Joni Mitchell.

She is one of Danny's favourite collaborators, and the pair will join forces for a few songs during the evening.An intimate evening of songs and collaboration in one of London's best-loved independent music venues.
